Innopet Dog Prams, All Terrain & Urban Dog Stroller Comparison

Innopet Dog Prams, All Terrain & Urban Dog Stroller Comparison
Innopet Dog Strollers & Prams have one key feature in common. They all have a 3 wheel system design and most have wheel suspension. Most have a light weight aluminium frame making them easy to steer and sturdy enough for a smooth & comfortable ride for your fur baby. However that does not necessarily mean it is an off road dog buggy. There are so many models and makes to choose from.  Really depending on what is important to you as well as what terrain you and your pooch will be exploring the comparison below may assist in making the practical choice.

Why Innopet?

Innopet celebrated 20 years as leading pet travel experts in 2016. Their range of dog pram comfort strollers are designed for pet parents convenience and your pooches ultimate comfort. They have nailed down the fine balance of buggy weight vs dog size and terrain capabilities without compromising quality. They are exceptionally easy to assemble, store and handle with their one handed folding system.

Innopet Urban Dog Stroller Range

The Urban range is a series of 3 models. The All Terrain 'the original' is a popular and affordable choice, following it's great success Innopet added 2 variations called The First Class and The Allure. All 3 are suited to urban strolling, managing curbs with ease or to be used while jogging with your pooch. They are ideal for negotiating grass, gravel or dirt paths while walking your dogs or at a dog show. If you have a small breed but want to explore off road, we recommend considering the off road range below. Even if the models seem too big, you can always add your dogs favourite blanket or toy inside the cabin to make it feel cosy and have the peace of mind that you can go where you please.

The price jump between the All Terrain and the Allure and First Class is due to the aluminium wheels and a strong frame that remains rust free on the latter two strollers (great if you live or adventure with your stroller along the coast). They are light and compact, ideal for pet parents who are looking for convenience. Easy to manoeuvre, fold flat, simply pop it in your boot or store it away in the cupboard.

The latest model the Allure dog stroller weighs a mere 7.1kg, making it ideal for easy transportation and handling. The Allure will comfortably accommodate dogs of up to 20Kg with front wheel shock absorption.
All 3 are suitable for small to medium dog breeds. They all feature a storage basket below the main cabin & cup holders. Unfortunately none of the below urban models have adjustable handles, they are fixed.

Let's compare them

All Terrain Dog Pram

The All Terrain is sturdy, an original design from Innopet. The name is a little misleading as it is not quite an all terrain but will easily manage dirt tracks and grass. Comfortable interior with a water resistant fabric.

Rain covers are available as an additional accessory. It is so easy to manoeuvre, weighing a mere 6.5kg. This is an option for little ones. The maximum weight capacity is 12.5kg

Allure Dog Pram

The Allure is an ultra stylish new addition dog stroller. We love the front convertible wheel with shock absorber ensuring easy navigation and a smooth ride for your fur baby. It will comfortably accommodate one or two best buddies with a combined weight of 20kg.

Allure Dog Stroller

Monaco Dog Pram

The Monaco dog stroller is spacious, robust and will offer your pooch a smooth ride. The zipperless cabin design is unique, proving difficult for escape artists.

Innopet OFF Road Dog Pram Range

These toughies are an ideal choice if you need a luxury robust dog stroller. They feature spacious cabins with roomy interiors, ample storage space and large wheels to negotiate trails. These are the dog strollers you can push on the beach, hiking trails or rough uneven terrain. They would be suitable for large dogs or 2 small dogs. What makes an all terrain an off road stroller is mainly the wheels. They need to be 12" or larger and have wheel suspension. The size of the wheels, frame and design are compatible with the dog weight capacity, built to be robust and a comfortable ride for your pooch.

The EFA and AIR buggy comfort are very similar, the main difference being the tyres. The Sporty Dog Stroller doubles up as a dog bike trailer for cyclists with a dog weight capacity of 30kg. The Adventure dog stroller is one of Innopet's new models, designed for the outdoors with all the bells and whistles. The Hercules Heavy Duty is brand new on the market. It is an X-Large dog stroller with all the luxury features. If you are not sure that your dog will fit comfortably inside the cabin, measure their spine from the base of the neck to the base of the tail and compare that to the length of the cabin (dimensions below). If they are well within the limits or at least 3 cm less, they should be perfectly happy. You could also tape out the internal cabin dimensions on the floor, then place your dog inside the taped out area to see if they will be comfortable lying down.

Hercules 2.0 Dog Pram

The Hercules is a beast but equally sleek and simple to maneuver. It has the largest wheels of all the strollers mentioned which are 20" Air tyres. The Hercules 2.0 has just been released and you can now purchase the bike connector as an accessory.

Take your pooch for a ride in the He rcules as a dog bike trailer. This is also a great option for joggers, the front wheel can be locked or in swivel mode. Includes a rain cover. The low to the ground rear entrance can be so helpful for elderly dog to get in or out.

Buggy Comfort EFA Dog Pram

The EFA Buggy Comfort is compact and robust. A good option if you are concerned about storing it in your boot or travelling on busses or trains. When you do hit some rocky, rough terrain, this stroller goes into beast mode, plus you are guaranteed puncture proof 12" tyres. Ideal for medium size dog breeds.

 Buggy Comfort EFA stroller

Buggy Comfort EFA Dog Pram

The Buggy Comfort AIR is very similar in design, size and capabilities to the EFA Buggy Comfort. The 12" Air tyres make it ideal for soft sand, beach or muddy tracks. They offer great traction and a smooth ride thanks to the wheel suspension. Another unique great feature of the Buggy Comfort AIR is that the front cabin folds down, giving you the option to open up the whole cabin for your dogs viewing pleasure if desired.

Buggy Comfort AIR

Dog strollers can be life changing for your dog, particularly if they are facing getting older, surgery, or recovering post injury. It lifts their spirits as they can still be a part of the action. Their keen sense of smell, curiosity and discovery is satisfied from the comfort of their mobile safe den.

  • Hi Vicky,

Thank you for your comment. That sounds wonderful. What an incredible journey to share with your poodle. ūüź©

I imagine although you need a light weigh buggy it would also need to be robust. My recommendation would be the Adventure or Buggy Comfort EFA. They both have storage below the cabin and you would not need to worry about punctures.

    I hope that helps.

  • Hi,
I am thinking of walking the Santiago de Compostela walk (500 miles) with my poodle who can’t really walk much further than 2 miles due to a Femoral Head Ostectomy. Because of this, I am looking for a tough but light buggy that would enable us to do the walk together, hopefully with some storage space if possible but that would stand up to walking that sort of distance.
    Many thanks
    Vicky

  • Hi Amanda,

Thank you for your comment. Labradors owners almost always choose the Hercules as even though your Lab is well under 50kg, it has sufficient space for her to lie down and enjoy the ride. The Hercules is also ideal for coastal areas, the beach and woodlands.

Please let us know if we can assist you further.

  • Hi I have a Lab weighing 24.5kg. Due to spinal surgery and elbow dysplasia she‚Äôs not up to walking far and is rather slow. We walk a lot ‚Äď beaches, coastal paths, woodland, off-road trails, etc ‚Äď and need a comfortable ride for her so that she can come out with us and our other Lab.
    Could you please advise?
    Thanks
    Amanda
