A New Lease of Life for the Old Boy!

I needed some kind of dog buggy because my best canine friend was finding it hard to walk more than a few dozen yards because of his joint problems. He has always had some difficulties with his joints and has had all sorts of physio and hydro therapy, as well as meds of various kinds. Short of surgery, nothing had helped and he was virtually marooned in the house and garden.

A friend suggested a buggy for him - I had no idea such things existed! After a lot of research, I opted for this model, the Innopet Hercules 2.0 because it seemed to be the right size and also robustly constructed.

When the buggy arrived, it was easy to put together and I set about coaxing my boy to first sit inside it whilst still, before gradually moving it slowly around with him inside. It really took very little time before he was totally accustomed to it, and I have to say that it has revolutionised his life.

We now go around the village in it every day and he can jump down whenever he wants to investigate any interesting sniffs or attend to any other doggy business. Occasionally, I dismantle the buggy (very easy to do), load it into the car and we go off somewhere for a longer expedition. So far our most adventurous trip has been about 7 miles, on pavements and grassy areas, and he has been able to revisit some of the places we used to walk to, that I never thought he would see again.

In short, the buggy is the best thing ever for my dog, I love it and so does he! Absolutely recommended for anyone whose best doggy friend can no longer do the walks they once did. AAA+++

    Great for the elderly dogs

This buggy has been excellent for allowing the less mobile of our dogs to accompany us on long walks. The photo was taken on our holiday doing the Thames walk. It is roomy and sturdy but fairly easy to fold down to fit in the car. The main deficiency is the lack of a hand brake which can make descending hills challenging!

    great product

We bought this for my 52kg Rottweiler who had arthritis and was struggling to walk very far at all. The innopet dog pram allowed him to ride to the park in comfort and he would then get our for a sniff and toilet before getting back in to go home. We put a padded dog mat at the bottom as if you have a large dog resting their legs on the metal frame can be uncomfortable for them. Its easy to put up and take down, easy to push and we got stopped everywhere we went with people asking us where we purchased the pram from. This pram gave my dog an extra 18 months of life - it was game changer and Iwould highly reccomend.

    Best thing I did!

Great set of wheels for my 40kg huskador. Easy for her to get in and out. It is a bit wide but easy enough to collapse and not too heavy. Goes in the boot of my little 208 with the parcel shelf removed. It looks a bit pricey but it's well worth it

    Excellent value for money

We've upgraded from a four wheel he had to turn round in; so, he had to adjust to getting in at the back. He's much happier now, but I need a thick pad insert as the frame means he couldn't lie with his head and paws out like he likes to do. Also, the raincover is not good if it's windy as it comes off easily at the front

    ‘Hercules’ stroller/trailer

I put a lot of consideration into which stroller/trailer I intended to purchase and having read many reviews and comparing various other stroller/trailers I opted for the Innopet Hercules. My fingers were crossed that my dog would adapt to using it as it comes at a financial cost above the others on the market. I have two Dalmatians, one is 9yrs and the other 13yrs. The stroller/trailer is primarily to be used by the older dog. He has been blind since he was 4yrs old and age is weakening his rear legs and therefore can’t walk for the long distances that he once enjoyed. I was looking for a compromise. My younger dog could walk for Britain so I was faced with two ends of the walking spectrum, which required me to make one short walk with the older dog and leave him at home whilst I took the younger one on a long walk. I could not drive to the countryside for the walks because, for security and to avoid discomfort, I would not leave the older dog in the car after his short walk. The ‘Hercules’ was delivered in very quick time once it was ordered. My older dog was nervous of it at first but with patience, verbal and physical reassurance, not to mention the odd biscuit, he quickly became comfortable over a few days. I am now able to take both dogs on a long walk whereby the older one walks for a few hundred meters and rests in the stroller/trailer before venturing out again. This allows my younger dog to have a long walk as before in the places both the dogs enjoy. I am pleased with the Hercules; it is extremely sturdy, manoeuvrable and spacious. The pockets on it’s body are very useful and the wheels are easy to put on and take off. I have found it to be suitable on rough as well as smooth terrain. I feel very confident with the sturdiness of the ‘Hercules’ that I believe it is sturdy enough to use as a bike trailer and will therefore later obtain the appropriate attachment. Great buggy

Bought the hercules for our ageing labrador. She gets in and out so i do the heavy work of pushing her up the hills and she walks on the flatter ground. She seems quite happy when in it and i think she has even more ideas of grandeur now!! Hopefully she will be able to enjoy it for many more years to come. Would recommend to others. Daisy has the typical labrador traits of elbow dysplasia, arthritis and lower back pain.

    Excellent stroller for large husky

This has been a fantastic experience for me and my 13 year old husky who suffers with hip dysplasia and arthritis in his elbows and shoulders now. So struggles to walk more than 10/15 minutes without getting tired and weak. Tried it out for the first time over the weekend and took to it straight away, and is easy for him to hop in and out when wants. Now looking forward to using it at centerparcs in a few weeks along with future longer trips out together 😁

    Hi Stacey,
Thank you so much for your heartwarming review. The dog stroller helps make such a difference when we can support and enjoy our trips out with our loved furry ones in comfort. Hoping your beautiful husky has many wonderful experiences. Love the Pets Own Us Team.x

    Great dog stroller

My dog is a mixed large/giant breed and could just about fit into this stroller and this was the largest stroller I could find. She thoroughly enjoys it in there now, she was a bit weary at first as she always is with new things but it was amazing to be able to get her to the field again (she has arthritis and awaiting knee surgery)
She was just about able to step in, I expect some smaller dogs may have to jump or be lifted into it as it is about 30cm from the floor. The stroller is sturdy and very well made, we were very impressed. The stroller also folds away easily. She loved the sunroof so she could see exactly where she was going, she enjoyed it so much when we got home she did not want to get out, she wanted to go on more walks. So pleased with my purchase this has helped me to get my dog out and about again.

    Fantastic dog stroller!

I did a lot of research on strollers as needed one big enough for my 34k Labrador and was aware of the handling difficulties in all the other models I'd seen. Let me tell you this can handle anything! All terrain and in total comfort - for dog and handler. I know I won't regret spending the extra pounds on this quality stroller and although I wish we didn't need it, I know it is going to be a great investment.
